Wonder Belonging Ordinary Blessings Earth Love & Stewardship Lifetime Journey as Pilgrimage Image-bearers of our Creator Living With the Questions Christian Mystics & their Wisdom Following the Divine into the Unknown Rituals in Grief Thresholds / Rites-of-Passage

I’ve been in ministry my entire life.

As a 15 year old I attended and spoke up during church business meetings and went on Thursday night visitation to pray with people, welcome them to church, and talk with them about God….by choice. No, my parents didn’t go. Who does this? I served on the youth council that helped plan our youth ministry. And, every summer during college I served as a youth worker (First Baptist Gretna) or summer youth minister (Mount Hermon BC in Danville). Seriously, y’all. When I say it’s what I’ve done forever, it’s true. Forty-ish years.

So, shifting gears out of the context of a congregation is a big change. While staying in touch with my heart for serving and pastoring, I’m eager to move in new ways in the world.

I love art. I adore nature. And I believe that pouring into what we love honors the Creator and contributes to the larger tapestry of goodness and life. Creating art, honoring nature, scouting the divine, and walking with others who want to do the same—This is my new job. I’m making it up.

Opportunities to preach, lead retreats, and walk with others will surely still be part of the picture. Yet, I will explore new expressions as well.

See the “Pilgrimage Journeys” page under the menu tab for information about opportunities to experience God through walking in nature with others, in places that have a deep history of others walking, serving, and experiencing the Divine. These are specific journeys set aside to open oneself up new understandings or revelations about life, involving intention and sincere desire to look and for and meet the Holy as you go.

Look at the “Creative Community Opportunities” page to see gathering sessions, which may include meals, or snacks, discussion, sharing in community, and creativity.

And, if you wish to connect with me about a specific opportunity, or individual / group event, don’t hesitate to reach out to me using the contact page. I’m looking forward to sharing this journey with you.
